Our Expanded Duties program is designed to ensure dental assistants abide by the requirements set by the Georgia Board of Dentistry.  In order for a dental assistant in Georgia to legally monitor patients under nitrous oxide, desensitize teeth, apply fluoride and sealants, and fabricate temporaries extraorally, the assistant must complete 12 hours of instruction that satisfies Georgia code section 150-9-.02. Our mission is to offer a highly efficient and affordable expanded duty course which prepares students with the necessary skills to perform required duties. In Addition, the Dental Staff School offers Coronal Polishing as a CE course for 7 hours in GA and 14 hours of instruction in TN.

This is a 2 day Expanded Duty course:
Upon completing the course, you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform additional techniques, procedures and applications as a dental assistant. These new skills and insight may help you grow in your career and be prepared for advanced positions.

PROGRAM COST IS $740.00 for all three courses which will include all necessary supplies. We will email you the study guides along with any other necessary paperwork.
